International Business Studies
Study Abroad in New York City
Study in NYC for 6 months
6 Month Academic Program + Career Opportunities
The global business environment is more complex — and more competitive — than ever. The International Business Studies (IBS) program at MIM prepares you to operate within it with clarity, strategy, and confidence. Based in New York City, one of the world's premier centers of international commerce, IBS gives you direct access to the industries, networks, and professional culture that define global business today. The city is not just a backdrop — it's part of the curriculum.
IBS is designed for business professionals and graduates who want to deepen their international expertise and accelerate their careers. If you hold an associate or bachelor's degree in a business-related field, you can earn a Business Certificate that builds immediately on your existing foundation. The program covers the full scope of international business: accounting, economics, management, and marketing — taught with a global lens and applied to real-world contexts.
Organizations operating across borders need leaders who understand not just business fundamentals, but the cultural, economic, and regulatory dynamics that shape international markets. IBS develops that kind of thinking — the kind that's increasingly rare and consistently in demand.

IBS In-Depth
Objectives
Effective global business management
International markets are being reshaped by technology, geopolitical shifts, and evolving consumer behavior — often simultaneously. IBS equips you with the management frameworks and technical fluency to lead through that complexity, not just respond to it.
Navigating change across borders
In global business, change doesn't arrive with warning. Regulatory environments shift, supply chains fracture, markets open and close. You'll develop the strategic agility to guide organizations through that volatility — skills that become exponentially more valuable as your career scales internationally. New York, with its density of global firms and constant market movement, is the ideal environment to build them.
Competing on the world stage
New York City is where global business gets done. Studying here means you're already operating in one of the most demanding professional environments on earth — and MIM is designed to turn that pressure into preparation. By the time you complete IBS, you won't just be ready to enter the international business arena. You'll be ready to lead in it.

Student Testimonials

Julienne Manansala

Nicholai Ozan

"MIM was perfect for me. The staff is very dedicated to each student. The professors at
MIM were also very skilled. They make sure that you like the class and get the most
out of it. The most positive aspect of this experience was that before coming at MIM, I
was extremely shy. I couldn't speak in front of people. Today, I'm much more assertive
thanks to MIM."
